Le Short Story Behind Oui Steph!

hi there 👋🏽 i’m steph! for as long as i can remember, i've had a love for letters. so naturally, i became a freelance graphic designer + hand-letterer. then back in 2018, i was scouring the internet for a special, timeless gift: a classic denim jacket with a hand-embroidered chain stitched name reminiscent of the personalized mickey ears I used to wear at disneyland. it was a tall order, i know...

when my search came up short because no one was yet offering this exact product, i figured why not mix my background in graphic design + hand-lettering with my love of classic chain-stitched embroidery?! i created my first hand-lettered + hand-embroidered jacket and fell in love with the craft! since then, I’ve designed, embroidered, and sold hundreds of custom jackets for special occasions like baby showers + birth announcements, to engagements + weddings… and I’ve loved each and every unique project!

    I am completely obsessed with the jacket bought for my daughter! It is absolutely beautiful and the embroidery is perfectly imperfect. You can tell the jacket was made with love. My daughter had only worn it once so far and received compliments everywhere we went.     Steph was FABULOUS to work with — she is soooo professional and then she is also so responsive and collaborative too! I wasn’t sure about what colors I wanted to use for the jacket that I ordered for my friend’s new baby, and we figured it out together. Never will you get this type of customer service, like… anywhere. I’m recommending her to all of my friends and cannot be more thankful to the transparency for timeliness & even a final photo of the jacket before shipping. You guys — this is a must!     I was literally crying when I opened the package. The quality is so WILD in the best way! Not only was the stitching next level - the jacket also came with the shop's branding tag! I am such a sucker for good packaging and branding. It truly looks like you picked up this item from a high-end shop. Amazing quality aside, the customer service I received was over the top - I was able to talk through ideas and get help with what would look best. SO OBSESSED. I will recommend this shop until I'm blue in the face!
